Optional Training

892 Snowy Owl Squadron is pleased to offer the following optional training programs:

Ground School: Interested in becoming a pilot? Want to learn about how aircraft operate? Take your first steps towards pursuing a pilot license with the Air Cadet Program in the nationally directed Air Cadet Online Ground School program. Eligible cadets will complete 45 hours of course content on their own time, ending with the completion of a qualifying exam.

Where: Online self-directed learning

Drill Team: Polish up your parade boots and get ready to march! The squadron drill team sharpens their ceremonial drill and performs for our Annual Ceremonial Review in June.

When: Tuesdays (Oct – May) 1900-2100hrs
Where: Brampton Flying Club

Marksmanship Team: Hone your skills with the Daisy Air Rifle and compete with cadet corps and squadron from across the region. The Marksmanship Team competes annually, with cadets selected to participate during team tryouts in the early fall.

When: Wednesdays (Nov – Feb) 1800-2100hrs
Where: Brampton Flying Club

Band: Have prior music knowledge and play an instrument at home or in school? Join the joint squadron band and participate in a military brass and reed marching band.

When: Thursdays (Oct-May) 1930-2100hrs
Where: St. George’s Anglican Church Hall; 60 Guelph St Georgetown
